The 2003 Churton Pinot Noir was harvested at 23 brix, below the normal sugar level for Pinot Noir, yet they says they were able to get the ripeness he wanted. They admit that its not a ballbreaker or fruit bomb Pinot Noir style; instead it offers complexity and fine tannins. Only 75 cases were produced.
