Los Portones de San Francisco Merlot 2007

Los Portones is Camino Real?s medium range of wines. Made from grapes grown in the Cachapoal Valley the wine has the plum and blackberry aromas that are characteristic of Chilean Merlot. It is well balanced and has a medium body with soft tannins. It also has quite the sexiest packaging of any wine we have seen. The bottle is covered in hessian making it a really different gift as well as a delicious drink. Costs $30 a bottle in Thailand.
